The creative partnership of Martin Sauer and Jeff Sawodny aka Duce & Jeff FX began when they met in 2004. While Martin was studying audio engineering, Jeff had been around in the vital electronic music scene of Berlin for years, spinning regularely at well known venues like 90 Grad, Sage Club and Linientreu.
Together they decided to spend some time in the studio which worked out exceptionally well.
Electronic-music pioneer Westbam got hand on their first demo and gave them the opportunity to release it on his Electric Kingdom-Label making the track Do It their debut release in 2004. They also appeared on the Mayday Compilation Prototypes with Hearts Of Man.
In 2005 Martin and Jeffrey founded their production company FF1 Berlin, to have a platform for their various aliases Duce & Jeff FX, Vision Factory ,Da Nu Alliance and Justin Lemar. They quickly succeeded with the next production Breakdown which had gained the attention of the well-known swedish mixmaster Martin Brodin, who also signed their collaboration with House-legend Tyree Cooper for his Just For Fun label. Smoothly combining a broad range of electro and house elements, their remix of Steve-N-Kings Bounce secured them a regular spot in playlists of well known performers like Stonebridge and Steve Porter, who also reviewed the track in DJ Mag.
Further releases included a rework of Electro-classic Action by Da Nu Alliance (Tom Novy playlist) and a remix of Too shy by 80s-legend Limahl.
Spending every free minute in the studio Martin and Jeffrey recently came up with the Track Sunshine ( Just For Fun Recordings ) which is on high rotation in Ibiza this Season and with some fresh material appearing with My Beats like on Phonetic Uk / Velvet Disco Recordings.
